Working groups

ARTEMIS Spring Event, 18-19 March 2014, Amsterdam

This year's Spring Event we proudly present the Working Groups to strengthen the signature of ARTEMIS and plan future steps via the ARTEMIS Working Group. We kindly invite you to share your vision in one of the Working Group breakout sessions and – as one of our important team players in the ARTEMIS community – help us and thus the Industry shape the future on Embedded Systems

The Working Groups were created to evaluate and create sustainable results, on which the industry can build further in the far future. Results in these Working Groups are measurable and neceserry to support the Industry and our community.

At this Spring Event the ARTEMIS Industry Association gives you the opportunity to brainstorm with the current Working Groups and –if you like to commit for a longer period of time– apply for a Working Group membership.

The ARTEMIS Working Groups are:

WG Strategic Research Agenda Published the SRA (2011) and the SRA addendum (2013) and created an annual update of MASP and AWP from 2008 up to 2013. The WG SRA organised yearly Summer Camps from 2008 until 2013 and held at least one two-day workshop each year. At the ARTEMIS Spring Event 2014 the SRA Working Group will not have a meeting.
WG Standardisation Created a standardization agenda through the CSA project “PROSE” (FP7). A revival was made in 2013 with a meeting in September and one planned on January 17, 2014.
WG Education and Training The mission of the WG E&T is to enable longterm sustainability of innovation eco-systems. For more information click here.
WG Success Criteria & Metrics Created a set of metrics and organised two enquiries (2010 and 2012). The results were published in two reports, the first report was issued in 2011 and the second in 2013. For 2014 a third enquiry is planned
WG SME involvement The Working Group SME involvement was set up by ARTEMIS Industry Association in January 2009. A major and ambitious goal of the group is to see ARTEMIS projects being set up and led by SMEs.
SMEs are an important link in the value chain for high-tech systems and solutions. In the ARTEMIS eco-system model, high-tech SMEs are expected to play a key role in the capitalisation and dissemination of the technologies.
WG Tool Platform Created labelling criteria with an application procedure. The CESAR Tool Platform was labelled in 2012. As far as we know, no new tool-platforms are in the proposal-pipeline at the moment.
WG Repository A first Repository demo was presented at the Co-Summit 2012 and a development plan for 2013 was accepted. A second release of the Repository was launched at the Pre-Brokerage 2014.
WG Centres of Innovation Excellence For ARTEMIS, a Centre of Innovation Excellence (CoIE) is a group of multi-country, multi-organisation, interconnected R&D actors and businesses, which -by efficient planning, acting and cooperation- achieves a significant advantage in innovation success in a specific market. CoIE’s exist mainly to create new, self-sustaining businesses, which in turn drive employment, social responsiveness, etc.
Created labelling criteria with an application procedure. Three CoIE’s are labelled: EICOSE (2011), ProcessIT.EU (2011) and ES4IB (2011). As far as we know no new CoIE’s are in the proposal-pipeline at the moment.
